MULTIPLE ARRESTS MADE IN CONNECTION WITH SEVERAL ROBBERIES
Harrisburg, PA Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said that three individuals have been arrested in connection with several robberies that have occurred within the last two months. In each of the robberies, a food delivery person was targeted.
On March 10, 2008, at 12:40 a.m., Harrisburg Police were dispatched to the 2000 block of Holly Street for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, police discovered that a Dominos Pizza delivery person had attempted to make a food delivery. Upon exiting the delivery car, the victim was approached by several males who assaulted him and demanded money. The suspects had fled the scene prior police dispatch.
On March 20, 2008, at around 8:40 p.m., Harrisburg Police were dispatched to the 1900 block of Holly Street for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, police discovered that a China Express delivery person had attempted to make a food delivery. Upon exiting the delivery car, the victim was approached by an unidentified male who assaulted the victim and demanded money. The suspect again fled prior to police arrival.
On May 4, 2008, at 11:56 p.m., Harrisburg Police were called to the 2000 block of Holly Street for a report of a robbery that had just occurred. Upon arrival, police determined that two Dominos Pizza delivery drivers were assaulted and robbed by several individuals. The suspects fled before the victims were able to call the police.
Reed said Harrisburg Police Detectives have been pursuing leads and actively investigating these incidents since early March. The thorough investigation by Detectives led to three separate arrests.
Reed said Jamal Fuller, 18, of the 1900 block of Mulberry Street, was arrested in connection with several similar robberies and has been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the March 10 and May 4 robberies. He has been remanded to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of posting bail.
Also arrested was Jerome Blanchett, 18, of the 2000 block of Market Street. Blanchett has also been charged with robbery, aggravated assault and conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the March 10, March 20 and May 4 robberies. He has been remanded to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of posting bail.
The third suspect, a 17-year-old male juvenile, was also charged with the same crimes in connection with his involvement in the May 4 incident. He has been sent to Schaffner Detention Center.
