SUSPECT WANTED IN CONNECTION WITH ROBBERY

 

Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said Harrisburg Police are searching for a male suspect who they believe assaulted and robbed an individual on Friday, April 4, 2008, around 5:50 p.m. at the Polyclinic Hospital located in the 2500 block of N. 3rd Street.

Reed said the victim of the assault was attacked in the men’s bathroom of the hospital by an unknown suspect. The suspect assaulted the victim and stole a small amount of cash before fleeing the scene. The victim of the crime was transported to a local hospital for treatment of several injuries.

Harrisburg Police believe the suspect is a Hispanic male in his 40’s who is approximately six feet tall. A still frame of the suspect was obtained from a security camera and is attached to this news release.

The Mayor urges anyone with information on this incident, or anyone who may know the identity of the individual, to confidentially call Harrisburg Police at 255-3131.
