PEDESTRIAN STRUCK BY MOTOR VEHICLE LAST NIGHT IN CRITICAL CONDITION

 

Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle around 10:00 p.m. last night in the 1600 block of State Street.

Reed said the victim, Larry E. Latham, 39, of Harrisburg, was identified by arriving police units at 10:02 p.m. A LifeTeam unit arrived around the same time and immediately listed the victim as being in critical, life-threatening condition. He was said to have multiple trauma to the upper body. He was immediately transported to a local hospital for intensive treatment.

As of 10:00 a.m. today, Latham is listed as critical but stable.

Reed said Harrisburg Police are actively investigating this incident. He indicated that charges are pending against the driver of the vehicle.
