DOWNTOWN HAIR SALON REOPENS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Harrisburg, PA – Mayor Stephen R. Reed today cut the ribbon to officially dedicate the newly-improved Cobalt Salon located at the corner of N. 2nd and Locust Streets in the downtown. The Cobalt Salon is now owned and operated by Clark Resources, Inc., of Harrisburg, which acquired the business at the beginning of the year.
The Cobalt Salon, which was previously a barbershop, is now a full-service salon with services including men’s and women’s styling, hair coloring, highlights, cuts, eyebrow waxing, and men’s shaves. The salon utilizes the Matrix So Color hair color line and sells multiple other products through the retail side of the business, including CHI, Biolage, Sexy Hair, Matrix and American Crew.
Reed said the Cobalt Salon currently employs three certified stylists. Since acquiring the business, Clark Resources has invested $25,000.00 into cosmetic and other upgrades, transforming the salon into a high-end establishment. New improvements include new slate floors, paint and a flat screen television, among other upgrades.
"We are pleased that Clark Resources has expanded its enterprise to now include the Cobalt Salon in the downtown," said Mayor Reed. "The Cobalt Salon joins a host of other new businesses in the City which have opened their doors for business in recent months."
The Cobalt Salon is open seven days a week. Its hours are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
