BAYOU RESTAURANT REOPENS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
Harrisburg, PA Mayor Stephen R. Reed today cut the ribbon to officially dedicate the Bayou Restaurant located at 1530 N. 2nd Street. The Bayou Restaurant is now owned and operated by Clark Resources, Inc. of Harrisburg, which acquired the building and restaurant in January.
The Bayou Restaurant specializes in Southern Creole cuisine. Some of the restaurants featured menu items include Chicken, Sausage and Seafood Gumbo, Cajun Seafood Risotto, Jambalaya, Catfish, and Buttermilk Fried Chicken.
The Bayou Restaurant currently employs eight individuals, including Executive Head Chef Craig Clifton. Since taking over the restaurant, Clark Resources has invested thousands of dollars into cosmetic and other upgrades. Several residential units on the upper floors of the building will undergo major renovation in the coming months and will go on the market as rental units.
"We are pleased that Clark Resources has purchased and revamped the Bayou Restaurant," said Mayor Reed. "The restaurant is a distinctive dining establishment in the City and region. It truly brings the flavors and culture of New Orleans into our midst."
The Bayou Restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Brunch is served on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
