SUNDAY MORNING SHOOTING UNDER INVESTIGATION
Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said that Harrisburg Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning. Reed said the shooting occurred at 4:21 a.m. at the 100 block of S. Cameron Street in the Jam Rock parking lot. Anthony Hargrove, 26, of the 1500 block of Highpoint Drive in Swatara Twp., was shot once in the arm and torso area after he was approached by an unidentified black male while returning to his car. The unidentified male stole Hargrove’s wallet and necklace. The victim tried to shut the door to his car and the suspect shot him through the window. Hargrove was transported to a local hospital where he is currently being treated for his injuries. His condition is listed as stable at this time. Reed said that the investigation into this shooting is ongoing. Police do not have any suspects at this time. Once captured, the suspected gunman will face charges of robbery and attempted homicide.
