ARREST MADE IN WEDNESDAY’S HOMICIDE
Mayor Stephen R. Reed today announced that an arrest has been made in connection with Wednesday night’s homicide in the 1800 block of Brookwood Street. Bobbie Brown, 29, of the 600 block of S. Arlington Avenue in Lower Paxton Township, turned himself in to Harrisburg Police at around 5:15p.m. without incident. Reed said that the city’s investigation identified Brown as the suspect and that he is being charged with criminal homicide, recklessly endangering another person, and firearms violations in connection with the shooting death of Eric D. Cooper, 33, of the 5000 block of Winding Way in Lower Paxton Township. Reed said that Cooper was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead upon arrival at a nearby hospital. Brown will likely be remanded to Dauphin County Prison sometime this evening after arraignment, said Reed.
Harrisburg Police arrested Bobbie Brown for the fatal shooting of Eric Cooper. The shooting occurred on October 24, 2007 at 2042 hrs in front of the Double D’s Bar at 564 S 19th St. The investigation revealed that a verbal altercation occurred between the two individuals prior to the shooting. Brown has been charged with criminal homicide, carrying a firearm without a license, and recklessly endangering another person.
