POLICE ON ALERT FOR SUSPECT IN INDECENT TOUCHING

CMayor Stephen R. Reed said police are on alert for a man who reportedly rode be a female jogger in Riverfront Park and touched her inapprop-priately.

The suspect, riding a BMX or dirt bike, was described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black tee shirt, dark colored ballcap, cut-off jeans and sunglasses. He reportedly rode past the jogger several times and, near Front and Maclay Streets, reached out to touch the victim as he went by her.

The suspect will be charged with simple assault and forcible fondling when caught. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon at 2:39 p.m. near Front and Maclay Streets. The victim did not require medical attention and departed the scene after providing the information to police.
