$1.7 MILLION IN NEW UPGRADES AND RENOVATIONS CELEBRATED AT CAMP CURTIN YMCA IN UPTOWN HARRISBURG
Mayor Stephen R. Reed and State Representative Ronald I. Buxton(D-103rd) today joined officials from the Camp Curtin YMCA to dedicate nearly $1.7 million in renovations and upgrades at the landmark Uptown recreational facility at 2135 N. 6th Street. The work has been underway since 1997.

HURRICANE WILMA PREPARATIONS ARE UNDERWAY
Mayor Stephen R. Reed today said that while Hurricane Wilma remains to the extreme South, preparations here have nonetheless occurred. The City is the statewide administrator of Pennsylvania Task Force One, one of the 28 federally certified national response teams, and the City has been in continuous contact with FEMA regarding the impending storm

Mayor Stephen R. Reed today conducted ribbon cutting services to officially open the unique new Choquette Gallery and Design Studio at 421 N. 2nd Street in downtown Harrisburg. Choquette’s offers fine and antique furniture restoration and design services, with specialties in leather and fabric restoration projects and interior design consulting.
