CITY STREETSWEEPING SCHEDULE TO BE FOLLOWED TO ALLOW SNOW PLOWING IN PARKING AREAS ALONG STREETS; CITY SCHOOLS CLOSED

Harrisburg, PA—Mayor Stephen R. Reed late this afternoon issued the following additional information related to snowstorm operations in Harrisburg:

IMPORTANT: The City will follow the streetsweeping schedule for the purpose of plowing snow from the parking areas of city streets; in other words, whatever areas are posted for streetsweeping tomorrow (Tues. Feb. 18) will see snowplows eliminating snow from where cars normally park; vehicles should therefore be removed on the same schedule that is posted on street signs for streetcleaning; the same will be true for ensuing days as well.

Also, the Mayor reported that Harrisburg City Schools will be closed tomorrow, and possibly through Thursday, February 20.
