CAFÉ SOL BRIGHTENS UP NORTH STREETHarrisburg, PA — A new city hotspot for coffee, dining and neighborhood repartee was unveiled today as Mayor Stephen R. Reed conducted ribbon cutting services for the new Café Sol at 231 North Street. Site of the former North Street Café, the popular venue has been completely restored by co-owners Rick Galiardo and Shane Souders and is now open for coffee, dining and conviviality. Reed said Café Sol occupies nearly 2,000 sq. ft. of renovated space, with the site divided into two sections for a coffee bar and dining room. In addition to a generously stocked coffeebar, Café Sol will offer an eclectic and changing menu of fine American cuisine, with all items made fresh daily. Some items will be prepared table-side for diners, offering a unique and entertaining culinary experience. Seating for 36 patrons is available inside and several al fresco seats will also soon be offered. The Mayor said Café Sol represents a significant private investment by the principals, who also own and operate the distinctive Mars nightclub at N. Second and South Streets in downtown, and the soon to open NOMA nightclub on North Market Square. Twenty new full and part-time jobs are created with the opening of Café Sol. Reed said the Café Sol coffeebar will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays from from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., with dining services offered from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. daily. Reservations can be made by calling Café Sol at (717) 233.2009. XXX |
