About the Bureau of Financial Management
The Bureau of Financial Management is responsible for the fiscal management of the City. This includes the management of all funds; the accounting of all assets; the production of all financial documents; and the administration of Debt Service, General Expenses and Transfers to Other Funds. In addition, this bureau aids in the administration of the City’s four pension plans. Lastly, the Bureau provides in-depth financial analysis and research to the Administration and City Council upon request. To complete these tasks, the Bureau is divided into four offices:
