Bureau of Data Processing Changes Name
The Bureau of Data Processing is now the Bureau of Information Technology. The name change reflects a modern focus on the jobs of the bureau as it relates to city operations.
Enhancements to Website Content Underway
After a month of planning, the webmaster is implementing a site wide effort to unify the structure and order of content at HarrisburgPA.gov. The enhancements include updates to the infrastructure of the website, yet many of the enhancements will be immediately noticed. A unified appearance of information throughout the site will help users easily navigate and quickly find information. In addition to the unification, look for easier to read sidebars and a new “HOME” link at the top of every page.
All the enhancements come with built-in accessibility for low-vision and non-sighted users, following the same effort started in the beginning of HarrisburgPA.gov. Among these enhancements will be new efforts to bring HarrisburgPA.gov closer to a Bobby™ “Triple A” rating.
