Notice: This posting [Harrisburg_Blotter.pdf] lists persons arrested by the City of Harrisburg Bureau of Police and the charge(s) related to each arrest.

Information related to the disposition of each criminal case is maintained by the information network of the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts and is added to the list as and when it is available to the City of Harrisburg.

In the American System of Jurisprudence, a person is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

It should be further noted that the Harrisburg Police Bureau, in the conduct of law enforcement operations, frequently utilizes the cooperative services of other federal, state and county law enforcement agencies and that, in some instances, notably those involving firearm and serious drug trafficking cases, the criminal charges filed against a defendant may be filed by one of these other agencies and would therefore not appear on this list.

Still further, the Harrisburg Police Bureau has, for many years, engaged in a joint operation whereby city police officers and probation and parole agents are paired in teams to do regular checking of those currently on probation or parole and living in this city. When infractions are found or criminal behavior has been identified, the detainer to return the probationer or parolee to prison will be issued by the probation or parole agent, as a police officer does not have the authority to do so, and this information will not appear on this list. Any criminal charges filed against the same probationer or parolee, however, would appear since any such charge would be filed by the Harrisburg Police Officer.
