This campaign works with individuals and organizations to take responsibility for keeping Pennsylvania’s Capital City clean, green and beautiful. The campaign is the cornerstone for community revitalization, conservation and economic development and delivers tools to create positive change in key areas affecting our quality of life. Adopt-A-Block
Community Cleanups are a great way to meet and work with your neighbors for the common goal of beautifying your neighborhood. The Adopt-A-Block program is open to all city residents and we welcome you to join us in our efforts to keep the community clean and beautiful. The program supplies bags and gloves and special trash pickups can be scheduled to remove bags. For more information or to become involved, call 717-255-6419.
Adopt-A-Lot
The Adopt-A-Lot program allows individuals or groups to lease vacant lots owned by the City for $1 per year for urban gardening. To find out what lots are available or to adopt a lot near you, call 717-255-6419.
