In addition to the above-noted functions and responsibilities, MOEDSP has assumed responsibility for tourism development within the City, the City of Harrisburg’s web site management, oversight of the Harrisburg Broadcast Network (including television government access channel WHBG20), HarrisCom, Central Energy Office, Keystone Energy Development Corporation and numerous City-wide marketing initiatives. The office also actively serves as the City’s liaison to the following entities:

• The National Civil War Museum
• South Central Assembly for Effective Governance
• Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau

• Harrisburg Regional Chamber of Commerce & CREDC
  
• Regional Economic Development District Initiative

Additionally, the MOEDSP works directly with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s State Tourism Office, Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Harrisburg School District, the African American Chamber of Commerce of Central Pennsylvania, the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Central Pennsylvania, Central Pennsylvania Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, Asian Chamber of Commerce of Greater Harrisburg, Broad Street Market Corporation, Historic Harrisburg Association and a wide variety of other community-based organizations and initiatives.
